For Crimson Global Academy
Can your students survive a desert island? Spoiler: not without each other…
Survival Island is a 60-minute immersive team experience that turns CGA classmates into real collaborators — across time zones, cultures, and campuses. The social connection your students need, in the format they already love.
The part of school that doesn't fit in a curriculum. Until now.
Shared experiences accelerate connection
Adventure-based learning has a well-documented effect on peer relationships. When students contribute ideas, make group decisions and handle challenges together, social cohesion increases in ways benefitting both wellbeing and academic engagement.
Every voice has a role
The game is designed so that progress depends on contribution, not personality type. Students who might hold back in class often surprise themselves — and their teammates — when the team genuinely needs them.
Global collaboration in action
Students from different campuses, countries, and time zones work as a team toward a shared goal — practising the cross-cultural skills that are part of CGA's DNA, in a format that feels like play.
Survival Island Overview
Filmed in the breathtaking islands of Fiji, CGA students connect and face survival challenges in teams, make strategic decisions together, and compete to escape—all in one immersive 60-minute adventure hosted on our platform.

Industry-standard encryption, secure authentication, and GDPR-compliant data handling with minimal data collection. Deployed on AWS with serverless architecture and enterprise-grade security controls.
Zero setup required
Just a secure browser link. No downloads, no accounts, no student PII collected. Students click and they're in.
NZ-owned and operated
Survival Island is made by SquadGame — an NZ-owned and operated company, built for the same markets CGA serves across Australasia and beyond.
Common questions
How many students can take part?
Each session runs with small teams and works for groups from 4 to 50 students. We'll help you configure the right group size when you book.
Does it work across time zones?
Absolutely. Sessions can be scheduled at any time — we operate 24/7 with no restrictions. Just pick a time that works for the campuses you want to include.
Can a teacher or community coordinator see how it went?
Each team sees their results on screen at the end — a survival score, a collaboration score, two strengths, and one growth area. A participation and engagement report can also be provided for staff on request.
What age group is it designed for?
Survival Island works well for ages 13–18. The adventure format, competitive element, and collaboration challenges are designed to match how this age group naturally engages.
Can we use it as part of orientation week?
Absolutely — this is one of the highest-impact use cases. Running Survival Island in orientation gives new students an immediate shared experience with their cohort before classes even begin.
Is there a pilot option?
Yes. We offer a free trial session so your team can experience it firsthand before committing. Education and volume discounts are available.
